Agree. It was a process that failed on several levels
If somebody comes forward with an accusation, I think we have an obligation to listen and consider, possibly investigate (we don't have an obligation to believe, not sure where that came from). Once she crawled out of the woodwork and make the accusations, the only think I was looking for was whether several others did as well. That didn't happen, and it was he said / she said and the story didn't hold together very well. Time to move on.
I didn't watch too much of the testimony, I'll admit. But from what I read, it seems like it would have been hard to vote the nominee down based on what transpired. And its hard to argue that he wasn't qualified - whether you like his politics or not.
A needlessly divisive political maneuver that I think hurt the Ds more than it helped. We'll same the same about some of the shit the House Rs are pulling now when all is said and done.
