The entire Kav episode was embarrassing for the Dems who were clearly still

fuming over the Garland/Gorsuch brouhaha with a side of latching onto the Me Too movement because it's good politics. Remember that this is a witness that - with the assistance of a leading Senator - laid in wait pending a possible nomination of Justice Kavanaugh to try and extract maximum political impact instead of coming forward at any other time. A witness who - despite claiming lots of people were there - had a story that was corroborated by nobody and herself engaged in witness tampering to try and reverse that.
