But that’s all this notion of a national stigma attached to being Christian is. Take this nonsense grievance over “trans day”. In what way is that preventing devout Christians from observing Easter in any manner they choose? If some Americans are more into cheering for trans than joining in your religious celebrations, that somehow stigmatizes or persecutes you? When I googled it, that’s how the rwnj media reads.
It’s far easier to be a Christian in this country than to be an agnostic or atheist, or any other religion. Christians are the opposite of stigmatized or targets of prejudice in every way.
Christian nationalism otoh - that has both ardent defenders and opponents. But that’s stigmatizing (or championing) political Christianity, not religious Christianity.
