I don't actually have any problem with mail-in/absentee ballots, even taking it beyond just true absentee voters. Just incorporate an ID into the process to help prevent ballots being submitted for others, don't mass mail out ballots that could end up anywhere, and don't allow unmonitored drop boxes and ballot harvesting.

I have no issue with making it easier to vote, we should strive for that. For all I care, we should be able to walk up to a kiosk, insert our ID, and vote, not unlike checking in for a flight, etc. Just put in common sense measures to make sure that ballot is being put in by the actual legal voter, and have a paper trail in case of a closely contested election.
