Forget about people's motivations here, but I think if they start taking

Trump's property, it could work to his advantage on the campaign trail. Guilty verdict sure, but the government taking his shit and auctioning it off? Won't play well with a lot of people (I haven't been following the case, I'm sure it is being appealed). And don't expect people to understand what happened or how we got here. It just may not smell great.

OTOH, a real billionaire should be able to come up w $0.5b. I haven't been paying enough attention to how much he has liquid, what he could liquidate, etc. I know he's having a hard time raising the $.

And I'm sure the state's attorneys are licking their lips, but as someone who hates Donald Trump, I don't love this in an election year (not that the year should be a consideration.. ). I'm also not a huge fan of Letitia James.
