Unrealistic concern - the presidency has been flipping between parties


Since before dems and repubs were the two main parties, and nobody spends any time indicting presidents because of policy disagreements. It’s never happened before, and it’s only Trumpie propaganda about current trump indictments lending any credence at all to that concern.

Nobody ever even considered the notion of presidents being above the law while in office, because of course that runs contrary to the whole concept of a democratic nation of laws. There is nothing in Trump’s rant with which any American should agree. He’s just looking for a personal get out of indictment free card.

And we started overdoing impeachment in the late 1990s.
