point"... that is exactly my point. Violent crime rate in NYC is back to levels from 2019, before the covid anomaly. So why are people talking about how bad the crime rate is now when it's at the same level as 2019.
As far as why the governor is placing national guard in the subway... there have been a rash of incidents of late that they're reacting to to get it under control. You know, exactly what government officials are supposed to do. Which seems weird though since I'm told the democrats don't care about crime and just let criminals run free. It could also be that the governor doesnt' want NYC to become like St Louis, Memphis, Kansas City, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Anchorage, Nashville, New Orleans, Houston, Tulsa, Baton Rouge, Wichita, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Tucson, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Phoenix, Orlando, Mobile, San antonio, Jacksonville, Corpus Christi, St Pete, Des Moines, Fort Worth, Norfolk, the entire states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, just to name a sampling of places with higher violent crime rates than NYC.
