Maybe there’s some clarification of what the question really was, and what that answer really meant, but I wouldn’t bet a plug nickel on it.

Like I said to my nephew recently - the oppressor/oppressed dynamic that could lead so many people to “cheer like Argentina winning the World Cup” literally only hours after the brutal, senseless, savage slaughter on Oct 7, before Israel even began to retaliate, didn’t just spring to life spontaneously on the morning of Oct 8. My nephew is very much a creature of the left, so he couldn’t accept the existence of “Uber-wokeness”, or post modernism, or whatever you want to call it, but that’s simply emblematic of the denial on the left of its own illiberalism. That’s the kind of intolerance of criticism for one’s own “group”, which is driven by human nature when existential risks are perceived.

To be clear, I’m speaking of the problem generally - the Oct 8 example is just the best current exhibit. You can assume that there’s great context in that interview that nobody’s seen, but that’s just your convenient assumption. It’s easier than facing down the left flank of the perceived in-group. I can’t make you read it, but again, spend a little time in this book if you’re willing to allow your own assumptions about all this to be challenged. If not, imo you’re just perfectly happy to leave your head in the sand, at least potentially.

Sure, this guy who sent the interview to me is an ardent Trumpie (really a Desantis fan), who is constantly looking out for grievances against white people. But that doesn’t make him wrong about the absolute wrong-headedness of the phrase “toxicity of whiteness”. That’s no more valid than “inherent laziness of blackness”, for example. It is absolutely the way in which the left is now preventing the maturation of “diverse democracies”.
