That’s become a massively overused word. My weight-loss journey. My home-buying journey. In this case, I think it was a journey to allyhood or something. A journey to overcoming the “toxicity of whiteness”. The answer was even worse. There was an anecdote in there about the premature deaths of some white acquaintances, which she attributed to all that pale toxicity, in some way left unsaid. And then a lot of “sort-ofs”, some other slogan repetition, almost stream of consciousness, but absolutely no message. Nothing coherent.

Classic gobbledygook. We are all apparently something, inherently, just based on our skin color, but I couldn’t tell exactly what. Except that if you’re white you’re automatically toxic. In some unsaid way(s).
