And yes our system is completely broken. Just take this guy and his brother for example. The brother is here pending asylum application but has been arrested 4 times now for stealing, dui and now possessing a fake green card. The alleged killer was arrested for assault in NY. Why are we allowing people who commit crimes here to stay?

I’m actually pro immigration if done with a reasonable amount of common sense. I have no issue giving “amnesty” to those who are already living here in the form of a worker card, as long as they have a reasonably clean record.

If you want to travel back and forth like workers in my profession then have a different card but make it easier than it is now for employers to find and hire these people.

And have a reasonable number of applicants be processed a day. I don’t know if 1600 is the right number but it’s a starting point. ANYONE else caught swimming the river or otherwise crossing the border at a none POE should be immediately deported. No bs claims of asylum that they are coached into saying if caught or too impatient to wait their turn.
