He won over blue collar white voters in large part because he stopped talking about reforming Medicare and Social Security. If you actually want reform on those programs, Trump is the last Republican you should be supporting. In fact, it's the Paul Ryan wing of the party that had meaningful proposals on entitlement reform, but they've largely evaporated from positions of power since Trump and his populism took over the party.
