How in my post, precisely, did I say they were “only suited for those jobs? Many undoubtedly have other capabilities, but the fact is that many of them take such jobs because they do lack qualifications for others and they’re willing to work hard, and it’s honest, honorable work. The construction industry would have an even more severe labor shortage without them. The Associated Builders and Contractors predicts the industry will need to attract an estimated half million additional workers on top of the normal pace of hiring in 2024 to meet the demand for construction labor.
