Is when I’d perhaps start sweating, not an upper limit. I’m not sure I can put my finger on an upper limit. But fwiw we spent a bare minimum of $750 billion in Iraq (probably a couple trillion in all over the long term) which was a catastrophic strategic blunder from the jump and cost us 5,000 dead and many times that grievously injured. In contrast, backing Ukraine is a strategic (and moral imho) imperative.
