Call “wokeness run amok”, or “post-modernism”, or whatever, and lump them under the brand represented by the letters “CRT”, because he believes he’s succeeded in making it toxic. CRT is a real thing, and many folks might find it toxic, but it isn’t all the things that are being reflexively lumped under its heading. It’s very similar to RML’s complaint - he thinks lefties want to call Rufo “racist” rather than debating his “point”. But…his point is “let’s lump things involving race we don’t like under this abbreviation “CRT”, which we’ve succeeded in making a catch-all toxic thing - just lump something under it and you get instant hysteria without debate”.

In a way Rufo’s getting a dose of his own medicine. And I’m no fan of “oppressor/oppressed” social identity generalities. Defining a “brand” as toxic and then generalizing things under it addresses nothing. Just causes heels to dig in. It enhances political conflict, which is really my complaint with social justice warriors like Rufo.
