Indoctrinated in “post-modernism”, as you called it (I don’t know how to label these simplistic worldviews), and the highest concentration of Holocaust deniers and skeptics. I suppose folks can try to claim there’s no causation, but I suspect a good chunk of your answer lies there. If Jews must be generalized as “oppressors”, their own incredibly extensive history of being oppressed is extremely inconvenient. Imagine if you asked this question about the Spanish Inquisition?

There’s also a strong thread of logic among young people that history essentially began when they were born. What happened before is irrelevant and/or the players can be judged as though they lived in today’s world. That’s how movements to remove Lincoln’s name from schools begin.

“To forget history is to repeat it”. “People should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin”. These notions are disavowed, by too many, and inconsistently, in a discriminatory way.

Many of these same young people are horrified that we haven’t taught atrocities like the Tulsa massacre, while they cast doubt on the Holocaust a couple of decades later. Well, the victims of one fit the “oppressed” generalities neatly, and the other, not so much. I think you’ll find answers you’re looking for in that unfortunate reality we’re in.
