Musk to generalize ALL grads from HBCUs as being unintelligent? Musk is responsible for Musk’s words. Nobody else. If you’re looking for a truly constructive conversation about things like equity vs equality of opportunity, or merit vs focus on diversity, this Musk tweet is literally the opposite of an effective way to do it. Nobody should be more critical of it than you, if that’s your goal.

It’s a blatantly, unambiguously racist sentiment. Musk seems to get his rocks off from creating these controversies just cuz he can, cuz he’s got so many followers. Such power! The rumor that Paul Pelosi was hammered because of a midnight rendezvous with a gay gigolo or something - that was some bullshit a single guy made up out of thin air, and nobody would’ve known anything about it, except…Elon Musk decided to retweet it to his millions of followers.

Elon Musk is not the devil incarnate, and has done very impressive things with Tesla and SpaceX, but it’s baffling to see people defend these types of things. I have no idea if Musk is a raging racist, but he does play one on social media.
