Maybe it's just me, but I rarely hear humble gratitude from athletes.


I will use as an exception, the interview with Seattle backup QB Drew Lock after leading the team to a victory over the Eagles. THAT was humble, and surprisingly vulnerable. He said openly, that he wondered if he could even play this game anymore. He said he was blessed. Blessed by having guys around him to believed in him.

He didn't invoke a higher power, even if he believes in one. He was inspiring.
