The order states -- correctly -- that Chutkan has lost jurisdiction over the case while it is on appeal. As such, Supreme Court precedent holds that "any further proceedings...must automatically be stayed." The reason for this, by the way, is that at this point in time, we don't even know whether there will be a trial, as it is an open question as to whether the defendant is immune from prosecution.

Hence, it would be a violation of the defendant's due process rights to have to "face the burdens of litigation" -- which obviously include a corrupt prosecutor like Jack Smith continuing with proceedings exactly as he has in direct and repeated violation this stay order, smearing Trump in illegal court filings in the process -- when the defendant may be immune from prosecution.

And, as Chutkan's own words state at the top of page three, "additional discovery or briefing" (both of which Smith has engaged in illegally since the stay order) would "advance the case toward trial and impose burdens of litigation on Defendant", which is precisely what Jack Smith admitted as his goal in his own subsequent filings.

Smith is a scumbag prosecutor who violates both the law and the Constitution, and his case is a farce.
