At least by pulling skin color off the table as

a way to quantify, rich private school minorities will no longer get a double advantage. I think some combination of parental income and a school / school district factor (based on avg test scores, average income of the district, percentage of kids on subsidized lunches, etc) could provide for a reasonable normalization scale.

An inner city kid living below the poverty level with an SAT score of 1400 and 4.4 weighted GPA could compare favorably to a rich private school kid with a 1500 and 4.9 weighted GPA because the rich kid likely had extra time and test prep tutoring along with access to more AP courses to boost his GPA.
