Conjure Hillary in ‘16, with whom Kamala unfortunately shares some weaknesses as a candidate. She really lacks whatever it is that creates likability and relatability in speaking to crowds. To me she comes across as preachy and a bit condescending.

In these days of challenges to our democracy, I think it would have to be a primary. So, something has to give over the next month. The party of defense of democracy can’t be seen as having anointed the current VP, or having reverted to the old smoke filled rooms (actually, we don’t smoke indoors anymore) at the convention. That would probably diminish or completely kill any messaging about democracy.

So, my money’s on inertia winning out and a rematch of ‘20, which is amazing, given how few of us want that.
