"The Georgists are out there, and they want to tax your land"

The Sunday Business section had an interesting article describing the idea of taxing land (and only land) based on how it's used. Land held with no useful purpose would be taxed at the highest rate. So speculators who bought land, buildings, etc. and sat on them would be taxed at higher rates. It's a long article with a link below that is open for your reading pleasure.
