Or Hawley. Or Cruz, who is similar in that he had a career and a political rep pre-Trumpism. But ironically, Haley worked in Trump’s admin and really never went full MAGA if you ask me. Although she hasn’t been a Will Hurd type either, taking it on face first. If she were, she wouldn’t be in this race. Cruz said sorry to his wife over his spinelessness and then went full MAGA.

Haley’s not full MAGA, but she is a MAGA enabler. She pushes back hard against MAGA isolationism, which these days is pretty critical. But as 81 points out, her courting of the republican cult base requires her to strongly suggest she’d pardon trump if convicted. Before she’s even seen the cases unfold, so that is another repub assault on rule of law. Which would probably keep me voting dem yet again.
