dont support them, dont like them but dont want to continue fighting them with arms etc.....Kind of like you live there, we live here and we dont need to mingle. them = zionism but we dont have major issues with jewish people

Remeber Lebanon had a thriving Jewish population around 1880-1930 was the golden age where many families moved to Beirut from modern day Syria, Turkey etc. We even saw an influx after 1948 that increased the population to 15000.
We even had the best jewish schools where jews were sending their people there. We still keep ties/dialouge with some Arab Jews who still say they are from Lebanon (you can google the names) but its not as open in the public as you would think. They also recently renovated the synogoue in Beirut that was privetly funded by Lebanese like Harriri and Lebanese Jews like Safra (they never announced it) but how many banks in Switzerland are Jewish with Lebanese connections?

If anything I would ask Americans how they feel about Palestinian Christians - because they go not support from the west and are largely forgotten in any discussions. I never hear anything from this board when Israeli's attack clergy or churghes etc.....
