Christian support for Israel today has nothing to do with Christian persecution of Jews in the past. And nobody is “collectively guilty” for the actions of other Christians in the past, so no need for the defensiveness.

I’m not attacking “Christianity”, tuck. I’m just wondering about your deflection about how Jews have somehow persecuted one another, just as badly as those other examples of persecution.

Yes, tuck, some Christians are very strong supporters of Israel. Some of them want Israel to rule from the river to the sea so their “rapture” can occur, allowing all infidels to burn in hell on earth. Some truly support Israel. And some absolutely hate Israel and see it as 100% guilty for everything going on now and everything that led up to it.

So, not sure why you are engaging in sweeping generalizations, but in terms of the history of persecution of Jews in the Christian world, there is no analogy of Jews persecuting one another in an analogous fashion. I’m just baffled by that remark, that’s all.
