I respect Newhouse. He was my rep when I lived in Richland for a few years. I voted for him in 2014 when it was him vs. a nutjob former NFL player in the general election. Thanks to the jungle primary, I think he'd still have a chance to win in that district if he ran as an independent against an arch conservative.

I don't think it's likely he flips, but we're kind of in uncharted territory. He's already voted to impeach Trump, so I could see him doing something for the good of the country even if it hurts him politically.
