Because he was negotiating a plea deal with Hunter and could do that in any
jurisdiction because there’d be no trial. He happens to be the US attorney for Delaware, so that’s where he negotiated it. Now that it appears to be going to trial he needs to be given jurisdiction elsewhere to stay on the case. This isn’t hard. Are you really an attorney?
