Right but the percentage increase over the baseline DOES adjust

for dollars. When Reagan took office, spending was ~$600 billion per year. When he left office it was nearly $1.1 trillion. He almost doubled the government in just 8 years. THAT matters. By contrast, Obama's 8 budgets increased the government by 13% over 8 years. That's lower than the rate of inflation over that timeframe.

But if you insist on focusing on the absolute amount of debt added... your guy is the undisputed king adding nearly $8 trillion in just 4 years. A record that will never be broken on a constant dollar basis.
