It was a text from Jan 7, 2021 to one of his producers in response to the

events at the Capitol.

But as the NYT article says, the text was just discovered recently that "set off a panic at the highest levels of Fox on the eve of its billion-dollar defamation trial."

"The discovery of the text message contributed to a chain of events that ultimately led to Tucker Carlson’s firing."
