And I'm not sure what you mean by "falling for" the pre-mob, but mostly peaceful narrative. I don't necessarily think the following speech excerpts -- by a fucking sitting president at the time -- rise to the level inciting violence from a legal standpoint, but they should certainly rise to the level disqualifying him from ever being remotely considered for public office at any level by any rational person. I didn't "fall" for anything. It's just unfathomable to me that a sitting president could blatantly lie like that about an election in a fiery speech on the day that power actually is supposed to transfer peacefully as has been done for the last 230 years, and people think it's no big deal.

And yeah, the fact that he did nothing for hours to address the storming of the capital is also appalling.
