I think there’s more to it than that.
Saying that when all the kids/young adults in my extended family faced a de facto family vaccine requirement, which I didn’t really oppose. Yet this article suggests there’s a real risk to those age groups from the vaccines.
Small, to be sure. None of the under 40s in my orbit - quite a few - experienced much beyond a sore arm. But still, it seems to be debatable whether the risks are greater from Covid shot or infection for healthy young people.
Imo the risks are tiny in both cases, but again, one can see how reactions to news like this are overwhelmed by politics. Which I hate. There should be nothing political about this. I think the lesson is that Covid vax mandates should be no more prevalent than flu shot mandates. People should decide the risks and benefits of different courses of action, based on their circumstances, with their physicians.
