I watched my dad go crazy from a steady

diet of Fox News during the early stages of his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. The patent nonsense he would believe and rail about was just stunning to me. My dad was a smart, skeptical, critical thinking trial attorney for his whole career. Absent the cognitive decline from dementia, he would have never allowed himself to be duped and manipulated like that.

The difference with my dad is that he was a fundamentally decent person to begin with, and also had a family that cared enough to intervene. It was night and day in terms of his level of agitation once we got him off Fox News 24x7.

The speed at which JM has declined from a once semi intelligent poster to the absolute crazy lunatic he is today reminds me very much of my Dad’s decline. Would be nice if his family would intervene.
