Problem is, the amphibious assault on an enemy who is expecting you.


Really only the US has ever pulled this off successfully, according to something I read last week. I'm not saying it's true...there are some military history experts on this board to whom I'd defer.

And even then (D-Day) the enemy didn't know exactly where we'd hit; evidently there are only a couple of options in Taiwan.
