Abiding by the Constitution. Passing a law that takes away a right without due process or suspends Habeas Corpus is a world of difference from Congress passing legislation to reform, say, the heatlhcare or financial sectors and having some judge whip out a copy of the Federalist Papers from the 1700s and argue that the government isn’t “supposed” to be writing that type of legislation because (despite the very obvious connection to interstate commerce, the broad authorities given, etc.).

And I really don’t see the analogy to a bunch of lunatics trying to kidnap Senators to prevent them from certifying election results.
