I'm sure you remember back in the very earliest days of COVID...
I'm sure you remember all the uncertainty associated with the fact that so many people who were infected with the Coronavirus showed no symptoms whatsoever, or mild symptoms at worst. Yet they were still contagious.
That didn't go away. It was the case with Delta, and it's the case with Omicron too. It's the case with vaccinated people, as well as unvaccinated. It's why most of us have been wearing masks, to a greater or lesser degree, for the past 2 years. The fact that your entire family is sick shouldn't be surprising, though the fact that everybody is symptomatic might be unusual. I've certainly read stories about entire families coming down with the Rona, and I wonder if that's the norm? Or if those are just unfortunate clusters of the minority of us to show symptoms?
I'm glad everybody is basically fine, and hope you all stay that way.
My own COVID experience, is not quite a year ago when my son ... and most of the athletes and coaches on his wrestling team...came down with COVID all within two days of one another. No one else in my household got sick. Only a few of the family members of other guys on the team got sick. No one was down for the count for more than a few days in any case. This was all pre-vaccination. This year it's been ... less. There was an outbreak on the JV team that caused them to shut down the entire JV practice for 10 days. The varsity (separate practice) did two days of outside conditioning instead of practice as an abundance of caution, but no one got sick. A couple weeks later one Varsity kid got sick, but he just kept himself out and no one else has come down with it. It's weird, what can you say?
