So far, so good.
Both of my daughters have had covid but it's been a good while since they did so it wasn't omicron. They are very careful, too so it was a surprise. But they are in college and kids around them aren't all careful. They are both vaxxed as are the wife and me. They certainly didn't have a rough time with covid. However, they are both in very good health.
My wife and I have never been diagnosed with it. We did have a bad illness that was not flu in November of 2019 but we haven't been sick since. We flew to San Fran for a wine country visit back then and something probably passed thru the plane b/c our relatives went as well and they all came down with it. That was sort pre-covid but that gimmick was around before it became national news so you never know.
My wife has been working from home for 16 years or so. I have been working from home since March of 2020. My company doesn't require us to go in at all, anymore. So I don't. I've been to the office about 5 times since then. I don't think I'm stir crazy and I get more done from home than I ever did in the office and cut out a 2 hour round trip commute. However, it is pretty weird. I don't leave the house for days, sometimes weeks. I'm okay with it, though. I only generally go to the grocery store and ABC so my chances are pretty limited. I have been to the bars here and there but it's been a few months on that front, as well. We also got thru a Xmas eve dinner with extended family, there were 16 or so of us.
