Re treatments, it's not really weird for those who don't see a hidden

agenda around every corner. I'm not calling you out on this -- this is more toward ryno for example, but it still goes to your question.

The simple truth is that we simply know much less about viruses in general including effective ways to try and treat the worst of them. Every scientist who has ever worked in this area will attest to this. And think about it -- the money that could be made by pharma or anyone who truly developed effective ways to help "cure" colds and other viruses -- enormous given the prevalence. However, we just don't have the answers. Tamiflu is the one thing that has developed over the years and it does seem a little effective in reducing the average days with flu symptoms, but it is marginal and must be administered within a certain window to be effective at all and in the end, there is still some controversy over even its marginal effectiveness.

Viruses are really, really tough and we just don't have actual "cure/great treatment" solutions. They are so difficult the way they can attack human bodies. The most we generally have are various things to try and help with some symptoms -- which is also important as they can help us function, but never do any of these things actually help clear the virus.

There has obviously active work with COVID to try and move the needle on this, so you do have the various cocktails and pills that are being tested and tried and seemingly some with some marginal results -- but nothing has obviously looked "great". Throughout human history, most have understood this and the best solution has been find ways to develop some kind of better immunity to the virus -- not post virus treatment once things have invaded a vulnerable body. The only ones who truly seem unable to understand this are those who seem to believe that there is an agenda to somehow hide treatments from society in what honestly seems like sadly nihilist thinking.
