And I find that post of yours to be exhibit A. Even this link you just left me is not about dem leadership war gaming a way to use the pandemic measures and street riots to make Biden president. It was about predicting the ways that Trump would illegitimately claim all those things and how the country might combat it. That is entirely different from the context in your post from earlier this week.

The lust for power is the lust by repubs to remain in power, no matter what elections results say, and yes, what the courts conclude when adjudicating disputes. That brings us back full circle.

Repubs are actively engaged in tearing down faith in the institutions underpinning our democracy, chiefly:

Elections: Trump was girding to challenge the Va results, until Youngkin won. He gives a shit about power, not election integrity. Same with the pre-pandemic voting changes. He didn’t simply challenge them as they were made. He signaled his intent to challenge them if he lost. And waited until he did to create the exact scenario that your war gamers predicted. It was all about holding onto power, capped by demands that his VP use authority he didn’t have to simply appoint Trump president.

Judiciary: We either accept the judiciary as the arbiter of last resort of our disputes, or at some point, we battle it out with AKs in the streets like we are Beirut. Trump of course tears down that process because fair hearings before a court are not his thing. Power is his only thing. Same with his assaults on the press.

You will not find me jumping on board Russian piss tape conspiracies or ever having supported impeachment over the Russia controversy. I never said you are the only conspiracy theorist in the world. I never said they don’t exist across the spectrum. Just that I saw it clearly in that post I linked. There is no evidence in that USA link or elsewhere that some dem star chamber was encouraging rioting and pandemic measures to “rig” an election. In fact, there is a complete and total lack of any such evidence.
