Regarding your both-sides argument on lust for power, can you name a single policy of Trump's or the Republicans that would put more power in his hands or the government's hands relative to the Democrat policy alternative? Or a single policy of his or the Republicans that is an illegitimate use of government power? Just one?

Finally, while I appreciate that it's easier to deflect from and dismiss counter-arguments rather than confront them, your claim of partisanship is just silly. While I admittedly loathe the Dem party, I drag the Rep party here all the time, and drag Trump, as well, when I disagree with him (e.g., spending, COVID, election integrity, communication, personnel). My comments here are based on policy and philosophy, not a person or party. Don't fall back on that nonsense -- we've had enough back and forth here for me to know you're better than that.
