The assertion is that a black person in the same set of circumstances as a white person is more likely to experience some sort of abuse or brutality than the white person. It isn’t that police are the biggest cause of death among black people. Or whether a cop is more likely to be shot by a black guy than a white guy.

The point is, in the graphically brutal instance that went viral and sparked all this, force was clearly not required. And that it happens more frequently to black people than white people in similar circumstances. The grievance sustaining these protests is much broader - inequality in the justice system, and inequality period. Like an article I linked recently from the aclu statistically showing that blacks receive much harsher treatment than whites for non-violent marijuana offenses.

You can dispute all that, but the argument you’re making here doesn’t.
