You do realize what flatten the curve means right. It does

Necessarily mean fewer people get sick, it means to reduce the peak of the distribution curve to something that our medical system can handle all at once, and that includes ventilators in this case. If we have enough ventilators when all is said and done everywhere we need them then it will be because we shut down the economy. Had we had a better supply, Maybe extreme measures we have taken would not have needed to be so extreme
