we ignore bad stuff all the time until some "aha!" moment wakes us up. But that's not new, and all I'm saying is that this one example of egregious racism says a lot about this one particular racist, but in politics we tend to try to extrapolate such things to a broader conclusion.

And, hey, I am one who believes with conviction that Trumpism has elevated racism and white supremacy in the US, and around the world. From the stats around the rise of white nationalist/right wing violence since Trump was elected, from the chilling march in Cville, from Christchurch, and Pittsburgh, and El Paso, and various writings that these freaks have left for us, from the applause Trump's tweets have drawn from the likes of David Dukes at times.

I don't think the terrible behavior of this one woman against children says much about society though, other than that such people do exist in the US, unfortunately.
