So how about a little healthy skepticism, even of the Trumpie side?

There are basically three sorts of Trumpletons

1) Lockstep Republicans. They neither know nor care how the sausage is made, they just vote (R). They may very well be skeptical, but if the other option is a Democrat it doesn't matter. At most, they'll stay home on election day.

2) True believers. Skepticism is not a common trait among the faithful. It just gets in the way.

3) Actual Deplorables. They don't give a crap, and lack the moral foundation to even understand your point.

On this board, group (1) mostly stays out of these sorts of discussions.

4) Not real Trumpletons. Folks who voted (R) because for one reason or another they feel that eight years under Obama didn't work out for them and they wanted something different. But they're not lifetime Republicans, or even necessarily lifetime anything. They are where the battles are fought...
