Some he has, sure, but again, not the point of the speech at all. He's

saying you must treat everyone with dignity and respect regardless of their skin color, religion, sexual preference, political leanings, etc. He isn't saying you only have to do that if they have "earned" your respect by how they've treated everyone else, and certainly not based on you determining what qualifies as respect. How could you even do that with someone you've just met? You have no idea if that person has treated others with dignity and respect.

Honestly, I think the speech is basically a "I'm in favor of motherhood and apple pie" type speech. Hoo wouldn't agree with him? It's the same stuff we've all heard in countless ways - do unto others..., if you don't have anything nice to say..., don't make me turn this car around :-), etc. So I think his point was more about making it clear to his audience that anything less (as apparently happened at the Prep school) would not be tolerated at the USAFA.

It's a message that applies to everyone on any side, and certainly not exclusive to one or the other. So I'm not sure why anyone would try to use his point as a comment or "gotcha" against Trump, his supporters, or anyone.
