a willingness to take the time share facts/opinions (as opposed to baseless attacks/insults and driveby posts we see from others), intelligence, and even a pretty solid sense of humor. And given his lefty bent, that's exactly the poster I come here hoping to learn from, or at least to see a different way of looking at topics.

But it gets lost with the personal attacks, homophobic insults, constant labeling of opposing views as mouth breathers/racists/rednecks/etc, and a seeming unwillingness to understand opposing views or "evolve" that I agree with you, ruin discussion. And the irony is that approach does the opposite of what I assume he wants. If ever there was a poster that would make this non-gun owning, pro-choice, libertarian leaning voter join the NRA, a right to life group and vote for Trump, it's RQ for exactly that condescending, insulting and disrespectful approach you cite.

Just my 2 cents of course. And like you said, it's not likely to ever change, anymore than this bull will start tiptoeing around china, so I'll be joining you in continuing to call it out for what it is.
