the industries in Scotland depend on exports to the EU. I watch the question time replay on C-Span every week. They strongly hinted that they'll try for another independence referendum.

The Northern Irish are about to see big border control points re-established on the border with the Republic instead of the much looser controls they have now. I guess the closest comparison we'd be familiar with would be that the "philosophy" of the present border is like the US-Canada border and the future one will be like the US-Mexico border (without the huge level of migrant smuggling).

The biggest divide IMO about Britain is the urban-rural (Tories-rural, Labour-urban) split and I think the rural areas voted overwhelmingly to leave because they don't see direct benefits of membership.
