to occur.... I just use it to demonstrate that this is not just about bigotry and there ARE scenarios that reasonable, non-bigoted people could be concerned about. I don't like the position that SixerHoo seems to take that the only reason to be concerned is bigotry.

And there WAS a case where where a male to female transgender student wanted to use the girls' locker room and several of the girls at the school said they were not comfortable with a biological male student in the locker room with them. The solution was a curtained off area in the girls locker room, but under the current directive from the white house that would not be considered an acceptable solution. While I DO care about not wanting the transgender student to feel awkward/embarrassed/ashamed/etc, I think we should also consider how the other students feel about a situation such as this.

In searching of the article on that case, I came across another one. So these aren't all theoretical concerns. Girls ARE expressing concerns about changing in front of a biological male. I think it's unfair to say a 15 year old girl who is uncomfortable changing in front of a biological boy is a bigot.
