I'll preface this by saying that he has done much good in the sphere of LGBT rights and think this whole bathroom thing is ridiculous to have blown up on the scale that it has for such a minuscule part of the population that is affected by it (that includes cisgender who may feel uncomfortable). TBH, I think Obama has been a fairly decent President And certainly has been justified in responding to some of the social causes that have arisen, but this theme of always stepping in, I have not liked from his administration. From the "Dear colleagues" letter handcuffing schools to enforce sexual assault or 'adios to your funding', to addressing that little quarrel with the Harvard professor and police officer, Michael Brown/Trayvon Martin and now this, they seem to be adding more fuel to the fire rather than taking a more cautious approach. WRT race specifically, I really can't remember a time since Rodney King where race tensions in this country were as poor as they are now especially. I understand opening a dialogue, but on social issues I believe he has been a divider and not uniter, and it's not because 40% of our population are evil bigoted yokels.
