lean toward a more isolationist position, but hopefully you can see how disastrous his trade policy would be in practice, how his desired currency battles would harm markets, and how his xenophobic outlook runs antithetical to every positive ideal this nation stands for. Toss in some on-the-spot stances he's taken on other issues which show him to be wholly unserious, and you have the makings of some truly awful potential outcomes under his presidency. I cannot fathom how he'd react to a crisis in the South China Sea. And that's just from the scant bit of information we have about policy outlook.

Sure, his demeanor is a complete embarrassment, but his "platform" is far scarier. I don't understand how anyone can enjoy schadenfreude with the real possibility of a Trump presidency. It's not likely, but Clinton is an awful candidate who, like Trump, has historically high negatives.

Right now, I'm despondent over the next 4 years, and praying for a "hell no" Congress to block everything until 2020. Worse, my confidence in fellow Americans has been shaken badly. One can only hope this is a peculiarity of there being so many candidates early allowing Trump to pick up momentum.
