Correct. Addl 8.4% (2.2EE + 6.2 via ER) on top of the 15.3% already being
paid, just for his Single Payer plan. As well as lifting the cap on SS taxable wages.
Of course that comes with two HUGH assumptions:
1) That this Govco program wouldn't explode through budgeted costs like every other program, thus making 8.4% insufficient
2) It has a chance in hell of happening
Of course, to be fair, that comes with an offset of no more insurance premiums to employee or employer (not sure why questioners accusing him of increasing taxes on all can't seem to understand that offset). As well as the unintended, but foreseeable, consequences to Medicare/aid costs, as well as healthcare in general.
