Grassley--no decision on SCOTUS nominee hearing till they see the nominee

GOP has awakened to the trap. Obama might very well name a Republican whom the Senate would be publicly embarrassed if they refused even to consider.

Obama could be considering one of the more moderate or liberal Republicans, and if the GOP Senate either refuses to hold hearings or refuses confirmation because of that, they will be widening the schism in the GOP between the establishment center types and the far right during an election year.

Gotta watch those land mines.
